Dance Movement Academy	Dance Movement Academy Fall 2010 Schedule
Labor Day Weekend Kickoff Party	3 Sep \| 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. J.R. Rockers \| FREE This event is in cooperation with the EUDL and J.R. Rocker's Club. Encouraging young Airmen and Sailors to enjoy the weekend responsibly. There will be live music from local band Green Eggs & Sam all night. Also, a mechanical bull is on the lawn and is FREE for all those willing to try. Sign your team up at the event for the longest rider. Giveaways will be throughout the night. Hickam Skate Hangar LOCK IN	10 Sep \| 10 p.m. - 8 a.m. Cost: $25 Sign up for a night of skating and games. There will be light snacks and prizes throughout the night. Minimum of 10 participants must register by July 9th. For more information, call the HSH front desk at 448-4422.
VMA Women's Self Defense Seminar	11 Sep \| 1 p.m. \| FREE This seminar will help women learn verbal and assertive confrontational tools that promote safety strategies and physical techniques to help students avoid, escape, resist and survive violent attacks.
Check Mate Chess Club	11 Sep \| 12-3 p.m. Makai Rec Center Chess boards and clocks are set up for some friendly competition. All ages and skill levels are invited to play.
Tailgate Sales	4 & 18 Sep \| 7-10 a.m. Burger King Parking Lot, Hickam Cost is $10 per stall
A Workshop for the Modern Day Goddess	24 Sep \| 5-7 p.m. Makai Rec Center - $30 pre-registration before 20 Sep, $45 after that date. Enjoy the transformation in becoming a Goddess!

Classes

Hula	Mondays \| 3-3:45 p.m. and 3:45-4:30 p.m. $35 per month \| ages 5 and up Learn classic Hula dances and be invited to perform at various events on and off base.
Okinawan Kempo Karate	Mondays and Wednesdays \| 5-6 p.m. $40 per month \| ages 5 and up Karate focuses on student development and self-discipline.
Victory Martial Arts Tae Kwon Do	Tuesdays and Thursdays \| 6-7 p.m. $40 per month \| ages 5 and up Tae Kwon Do focuses on a combination of combat techniques, self defense and philosophy.
VMA Jeet Kune Do	Fridays \| 5:30 - 7 p.m. $20 per month \| ages 16 and up Classes advocate the combinations of many aspects of mixed martial arts.
Adult Ballroom Dance Classes	Fridays \| 6-7 p.m. Cost is $40 per month. Partners aren't necessary. All skill levels are welcome. Various types of dance including Swing, Salsa, Tango and Ballroom.
VMA Women's Self Defense Class	Saturdays \| 1 - 2:30 p.m. $40 per month \| ages 16 and up Women will learn about the nature and prevalence of violent behaviors and what to do when situations arise. Classes will follow realistic self-defense tactics and combative techniques. Classes will start Sep 18th.
Piano Lady School of Music	Classes are designed for children and include piano, guitar, flute, cello, clarinet, French horn, recorder, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin and voice training. For class dates and times, please call Ms. Barbara at 808-926-0250.
S.T.A.R.S. - Theatre Class	Fall Session presents "The Polar Express" Classes start 27 Sep Register at the MRC Children and teens will learn theatre skills, stage presentation and production elements in hosting an end-of-program Showcase. All classes will meet at the Memorial Theatre and cost $140 for the Fall session.
Teen Drivers Education	New session starts 28 Aug. Each session is 6 weeks long and meets on Saturdays. This is a State of Hawaii Certified Driver's Education Course. Street Smart Hawaii FAQ

Private Party Room Reservations - Rent the MRC for your next special event. Maui Gardens room can hold 40 people. The main ballroom can hold up to 150 people for your large function. Reservations are made 3 months in advance, full payment is required for each reservation. Room rates are hourly, and a $50 utilization fee is applied to each event.

Conference Rooms

Maui Conference Room

Hold conferences, meetings or private parties. Wide screen, dry-erase board, TV/VCR, podium and overhead projector available.

Utilization Fee: $50

Hourly Private Party Rate: $20

Conference/Meeting/Training rate: $30 for a four hour session during duty hours only

** Official Air Force Function: No charge during duty hours with approved waiver signed by Unit Commander.

Memorial Theater

For large group functions, the Memorial Theater, located on Kuntz Ave, is available for your use and may be reserved for meetings, seminars, etc. except when movie is shown on Wednesday through Saturday during the evenings and Saturday afternoons.

Hourly Rental: $15

Official functions are no charge.

Conference Room Rental Policies

All reservations, official function waivers, and cancellations are subject to the approval of the Program Director. All reservations, official function requests must be filled out on a Community Center Facility Reservation form and signed by the Commander and turned into the Director seven days prior to requested reservation date.

If reserving the Ballroom or maui Gardens, a podium, INFOCUS projector, screen, TV/VCR, dv signs are available upon request.

If reserving the Memorial Theater, 15 Communications Squadron must be contaced to reserve a microphone. A podium and screen are available, INFOCUS may be reserved from the Community Center upon request.
