The 15th Services Squadron is always looking for friendly, outgoing people to work in its many facilities. Positions range from recreation aid and child development assistants to food service workers, secretaries and waiters.
Eligibilities & Restrictions
Any individual who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident may apply for employment. You must present your original Social Security card or birth certificate and a picture ID if hired. Noncitizens must present proof of legal residency.
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and at least 18 to handle alcoholic beverages or operate machinery. Applicants under age 18 must present a Certificate of Age issued by the State of Hawaii, Department of Labor located at 830 Punchbowl Street, phone 586-8778.
Eligible and qualified Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Transition Hiring Preference (THP) applicants receive hiring priority. Certain veterans are also entitled to employment preference.
Active duty military members must present AF-3902, Request for Approval for Off Duty Employment, or an equivalent approval form upon being hired.
Restrictions
Active duty officers and current full time appropriated and nonappropriated fund employees are prohibited from part-time NAF employment.
Appropriated fund employees who retired after 30 Mar 94 with an incentive offer are restricted from NAF employment for a period of five years unless the incentive is returned.
Former active duty military members who separated on or after 1 Oct 94 and received Voluntary Separation Incentive (VSI) or Special Separation Benefits (SSB) will forfeit benefits if hired within 180 days of their separation date.
Applicants selected for positions with responsibility for cash or merchandise must undergo background checks which will require birth certificate, US passport, or naturalization certificate.
Background checks are required for all appointees to positions involved with children under the age of 18. These will include a State Criminal History Repository Check, an Installation Records Check, and a National Agency Check.
