ITINERARY

 

 Day 1 DEPART HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

 

Day 2 ARRIVAL:

          Flying into Hong Kong is exhilarating!  The city lights dazzle at night and your

          flight literally lands amidst it all.

 

           After the formalities of Immigration and customs, meet our Hong Kong guide and

           transfer by bus to our hotel, ideally located in the Kowloon district.    After a

           long flight, settle into your room for a goodnight sleep.

           Accommodations: The Royal Pacific Towers or similar

 

Day 3 HALF-DAY HONG KONG ISLAND TOUR

          This morning, bring your camera and be prepared for surprises and contrasts!

City Tour begins…
  • Ride the funicular railway to Victoria Peak (1809 feet above sea level) for a

panoramic view of Hong Kong’s skyscrapers, a magnificent bird’s eye view of

the city, Victoria Harbor, and the islands of the South China Sea.

  • The sophisticated and scenic drive to resort areas of Repulse Bay and Deep Water Bay; and colorful floating community of Aberdeen, the island’s oldest settlement.
  • At Aberdeen we make a stop for you to take a Chinese sampan through the busy harbor for a closer look at this unusual community of boat people who have lived afloat their entire lives.  

·         Visit a Jewelry factory to see how a simple Jade stone is created and fashioned into an exquisite piece of art. 

·         Stanley Market, a shopper’s paradise, a favorite bargain area for our shopping pleasure.

·         City tours end in Kowloon with a scrumptious ‘Dim Sum’ lunch.

·          Our escort will then guide us on a leisure walking tour back to our hotel (approximately ½ a mile).  She will take you in and around the city of Kowloon  

And show you all the bargains such as prescription glasses, latest cameras, Videos etc.

Rest of the day/evening at leisure.

Day 4 - A DAY IN MAINLAND CHINA – (L)   Suggested Optional Tour

           A full day escorted tour…. Price includes, China Visa fee, Guided/narrated by a  Mainland Chinese guide, transportation-Hovercraft & train/transfers, and a Chinese family-style lunch.

  • Guangzhou-Canton:  Formerly known as Canton, it is the capital of Guangdong Province and the southern gateway to China.  With a population of 8 million and a history of over 2,000 years, it is one of the largest cities in South China.  It was the first Chinese city of international trade and still remains as the center of the political, economic and cultural activities in South China. Visits include: Guangzhou Zoo, Six Baiyan Temple, and Dr. Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall.  Free time for shopping at China’s Freedom stores.
  • Sekou:  A part of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, Shekou Industrial Zone is located on the east coast of the Pearl River estuary, west of the Shenzhen city and 20 nautical miles from Hong Kong by sea.  Visits include:  Industrial area of Shekou, museum displaying some of the pieces of the original Terracotta Warriors & Horses collection from Xian; Chinese sculptures, arts and craft center.
  • A neighborhood Kindergarten with children singing and dancing to entertain you.  Return to Hong Kong by train and rest of the evening at leisure.   Accommodation: Royal Pacific Towers or similar

Day 5 – MACAU EXCURSION (optional tour)

            Macau, only 60 Km west of Hong Kong, not just casinos, racecars and nightlife,   

            This once-Portuguese colony also offers excitement, romance and a blend of fast

            And relax living.  Wander its winding street and you will chance upon baroque

            Churches, Chinese antique shops, century old fortresses and Mediterranean style

            Promenades.  An enchanting fusion of Chinese and Portuguese culture and

            Customs.  Visits include:

  • St. Paul ruins – one o the greatest Christian monument in the East; a sermon in Stone with significant events engraved on its façade displaying wondrous craftsmanship of early 17th century
  • Penha Church – situated on the hilltop, this beautiful chapel was a pilgrimage Point for seafarers.  Rebuilt in early 19th century, it is enhanced with panoramic Views of Macau and nearby China.
  • Barrier Gate – known as ‘Portas do Cerco.’ This historical gate was the border Between Macau and China, and eyewitness to two cities of completely different Administration and system.
  • Kwuiam Temple – dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, this 400 year-old temple. Reflects the colorful culture of Buddhism and an on looker at the signing of the first trade treaty between China and USA.
  • Casinos – the largest and liveliest casinos that proves Macau as the ‘Orient Las Vegas.   Spend your free time browsing the casinos or shops in downtown Macau. Return to Hong Kong by Hovercraft and rest of the day/evening at leisure.  Accommodation: The Royal Pacific Towers or similar
Day 6 - CAPTURE THE MAGICAL MOMENTS AT DISNEYLAND (Optional)
Disneyland Hong Kong opened since 12 September 2005.  
Price approximately $50.00/person for full day at the park; includes train transfer.
Discounted price for seniors and children.  Accommodation:  The Royal Pacific Towers or similar.
Dinner Recommendation:  The American Steak House
 
Day 7 & 8  - FREE DAY – at leisure

Day 9 - DEPARTURE DAY

            6:30-9:30am Buffet Breakfast is served

Please place luggage outside your room for Bellhop collections.  Hotel checkout. 

Meet at the hotel lobby (Departure time to be announced) for bus departure to the Hong Kong International Airport.

Tour director will collect passports and Hong Kong Airport departure Tax (Hong Kong dollars – approx. US$12) for group check-in & seat assignment.                     

 

        - ARRIVAL - HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Upon clearance of Immigration and US Customs, meet bus for transfer to Ticket Office, Hickam AFB.  Farewell…. until we meet again!
