ITINERARY DETAILS:
 

Depart (06 MAR 10) from Honolulu/Taipei/Ho Chi Minh City:

Your tour begins as you board your flight to Taipei and a short flight over to Saigon (HCMC).  Meals and drinks are served at no charge during your flight.

  • Upon arrival meet & greet our local guide and transfer to our hotel.
  • Remainder of day at leisure.

Ho Chi Minh City  - 4 nights

Vietnam’s most modern and dynamic city still retains its old charm with colonial style buildings

Daily breakfast each morning – served between 6:30am – 10:00am – (B)

Daily lunch (1:00pm) & dinner (6:00pm) at local restaurant - (L-D)

  • City tour of HCMC – War museum, China Town, Thien Hau Temple and War remnants
  • The Cu Chi Tunnels - Early excursion to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a vast 150-mile long network of underground passageway.  These underground tunnels served as hiding passages, storage hall, medical center and dormitory.
  • Mekong Delta River Cruise (My Tho) - Transfer to Vinh Long for a boat ride on the Mekong River to visit Binh Hoa Phuoc islet; Bong Sai garden owned by local farmer
  • 1-day at leisure to enjoy the city.

Transfer to local airport for a 50-minute flight to Dalat.

Meet and greet our local guide and transfer to hotel.  Stop at Pongua Waterfall for a picturesque sight, time permitting.

 

Dalat – 2 nights         

Dalat…a city of cool climate and romantic landscape with mountains, pine hills, waterfalls, flower gardens and ethnic minority villages, an ideal place for golf  lovers.

Dalat/Da Nang  -  3 nights

Da Nang – Vietnam’s 3rd largest city is right at the heart of what was once the ancient Kingdom of Champa (home of the Cham civilization).  This busy seaport of nearly one million people is an important trading and transport link between the capital of Hanoi in the north and the thriving commercial center of HCMC in the south.  Da Nang’s colorful history is reflected in its colonial architecture, remnants from the days when the French and Spanish occupied the area during the 19th century.  Today, visitors can take tricycle (cyclo rides along tree-lined avenues and relax at a variety of riverside cafes and restaurants.

  • City tour of Danang
  • Cham Museum – largest collection of CHAM sculptures in the world.  The sculptures date back  from the 4th to the 14th century and reflect the different periods of

CHAM beliefs including worship of Hindu, Brahman and Buddhist divinities.

  • Marble Mountain and stone carving village of Non Nuoc.
  • Hoi An - A charming riverside town known as FAIFO to early Western traders and recognized as a world cultural heritage.  Stroll around the Japanese and Chinese quarters and visit temples, pagodas, communal houses, traditional shops, markets and other places of interest.
  • Sampan cruise on the ‘Thu Bon River’ includes visits to pottery and mat-making villages
  • 1-day at leisure to enjoy the beach.

Arrival Hanoi, the Capital City of Vietnam – Meet & greet our local tour guide.

While heading to our hotel, enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside.

 

 

Arrive Hanoi – 3 nights

Dotted with tranquil lakes and green foliage, Hanoi is a charming city steeped with history, culture and legends with timeless pagodas, temples, ancient and modern vestiges.  As the country begins to experience an economic upswing, Hanoi finds itself as the political, economic, cultural and tourist capital.

 

Tours included:

  • World famous Water Puppet Theatre
  • Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, History Museum, Museum of Fine Arts
  • One pillared pagoda, and Ngoc Son Temple

  • One hour Cycle tour… will take you through Old Quarters of Hanoi, a collection of narrow streets, each named after the product sold, including Silk Street and Gold Street a walk through the Quarter allows visitors to view a corner of Vietnamese life.
  • Full day tour to Halong Bay, …an archipelago of 3,000 islands and magnificent rock formations.  Magnificent caves and thousand of limestone in inlets, white sandy beaches and crystal emerald water.  Lunch is served on board.

Breakfast & Hotel check out – bus transfer to Hanoi International Airport for our flight back to Honolulu.

Due to overnight at Taipei, we request you bring an overnight bag since your check-in bags will not be with you upon arrival in Taipei.

*Taipei International Airport offers a free city tour each morning at 8:00am to noon.  If interested in this tour, we will sign up upon arrival in Taipei.

Bus transfers from hotel to airport available for those not going on city tour.  For those on tour, the bus will transfer all passengers to their respective departure gates.
