Dial-a-Story
Everybody too busy to read to you? Not your library buddies! Dial 449-8297 for a special story just for you! Updated weekly. Displays Throughout the year we offer displays of books, web sites, and other materials honoring various history months and other special occasions. HFOTL The Hickam Friends of the Library (HFOTL) is a non-profit organization and supports the library in several ways. Besides hosting an annual Creative Writing Contest (usually held in April or May) and holding eight book sales per year, the HFOTL also contribute to the Summer Reading Program. Paperback Swap
Not sure what to do with all those paperbacks? Bring them in to the library and swap them for something you haven't read.
Storytime is held the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 0900 and lasts approximately 30-45 minutes. Stories are usually centered on a theme and may be accompanied by songs, finger play, or a small craft project. We ask that caregivers remain with their children in the story area. |
